Notifications
Everything ONCE emails you about also arrives in the app. If an email lands in spam, bounces, or you have turned emails off, the notification is still waiting for you here.
The bell
The bell sits in the top right of the header, just to the right of New Release.
- A red bubble shows how many notifications you have not read yet. Past nine, it reads 9+.
- The bell gives a short jingle when new notifications arrive, and again now and then while anything stays unread.
- Click or tap it for a quick look at your most recent notifications. Each one shows its heading and a one-line summary.
- Click a notification to open it in full on the notifications page. It is marked as read at the same time.
- Mark all read clears the bubble without opening anything.
The bell only appears when you are signed in, and it stays still once everything is read.
The notifications page
Open Notifications from View all notifications at the bottom of the bell menu.
- All shows your full history, newest first. Unread narrows it to what you have not seen.
- Every notification is a heading and a one-line summary. Click one to open it in full over the page.
- The full view carries the rest: the whole message when the ONCE team has written to you, and the extra information a release notification holds, like which stores rejected it or which fields a queued edit changed.
- The button at the bottom of the full view takes you to the release, payout, or settings page it is about. Press Escape or click outside to close.
- Opening a notification marks it as read. You can also use Mark as read on a single one, or Read all to clear everything at once.
- Load more pages back through older notifications.

Settings
Two controls sit at the top of the notifications page.
Email notifications
Turn the email copy of these alerts on or off. This is the same setting as the App Alert emails category on the Email Preferences page, so changing it in either place changes it in both.
In-app notifications cannot be turned off. They are how the app tells you about your own account, and they are the record that stays put whether or not an email reaches you.
Read all
Marks every unread notification as read. It shows how many are unread and is greyed out when there is nothing to clear.
How long notifications stay
Notifications you have read are kept for 90 days. Anything older than a year is removed regardless. The release, payout, and settings pages they link to remain the permanent record.
